For Hair Restoration DE Is Worth Visiting

By Christopher Gibson

It is a proven fact that everybody, male or female undergoes hair loss at some point in their lives. Whereas both genders are affected, men are more prone to this problem than women. There are several different factors that can lead to this problem. One may lose their hair due to breakage in hair shaft or due to a decrease in growth of hairs on the head or other parts of the body. When in need of Hair Restoration DE should be visited.

Some of the main factors that can lead to loss in hairs on the body include thyroid disease, protein deficiency, anemia, chemotherapy, and alopecia areata. Having a low level of vitamins in the body can also result into this problem. Autoimmune destruction of hair follicles is a condition called alopecia areata and can happen in localized regions on the skin.

A person must see a doctor immediately when they notice this problem so that they can run some diagnostic tests. Prior to making any diagnosis the medical practitioner will physically exam the affected part. After this they may inquire about family and medical histories of the patient. Before arriving at the final diagnosis, the doctor may run many related tests. The common tests in this case include scalp test, blood test, light microscopy, and pull test.

Blood test is done to examine whether the loss of hair is generated by thyroid disease, which that is linked to the problem. This test checks the blood before reaching the final results to enhance the reliability of the diagnosis. In the pull test, hairs are pulled out in gentle manner to examine the ease with which they come out and the quantity plucked. This enables the doctor to know the level of the shedding process.

As stated, this condition is caused by several different factors. Depending on the cause, the condition can be treated effectively in some cases. However, in some cases, the condition may be permanent. Furthermore, in some cases, one does not need to treat the condition as hairs start to regrow after some period, say a year. This happens in the case of patchy alopecia.

This condition has many treatment options such as medications, laser therapy, hairpieces and wigs, and surgery. Treatment is also done with three goals in mind. They include slowing down the process, promoting hairs to grow and hiding loss of hair. Treating the disease tackles the problem only if it is caused by some underlying condition.

Some of the medications that have been approved for use to treat this condition are minoxidil and finasteride. Minoxilin can be accessed as an over-the-counter medication in foam or liquid form. The liquid is meant to be rubbed on the skin where the loss in hairs is occurring. One should rub the medicine two or three times in a day. After some time, one may see some hairs growing and the rate of loss decreasing.

Finasteride is a prescription medication that can only be acquired through a prescription from a medical specialist. This drug is available for use by men only. The patient has to take the pill once in a day. This medication slows the process and may trigger some new hairs to grow.
