Self awareness is always the first step on how to start living sober because it unveils the true nature of ourselves that we did not know in the past.

Commitment is a technique that has seen many individuals stay sober for a very long time. This is passion which comes from within and is driven largely by your attitude. As an addict, you should be committed to sobriety and a healthy lifestyle. Let this be your guide during your recovery process for it will positively translate to a smooth healing process.

Goals are essential in every planning process for they assist in monitoring the overall progress. Starting to live sober in this context, is also a plan initiated by determination of the needs and issues arising. It is from these goals that alternative courses of action are determined and they help whenever plans put in place fail.

This translates to good moods which essentially makes the patient to forget about drugs by always staying happy.
