The Many Aspects Of Harmonic Healing

By Stacey Burt

Whether used as a preventative, or treatment for a specific condition, a new alternative healing practice is taking the world by sound. Known as Harmonic Healing, the practice offers a great many health benefits. Only recently has the practice become common knowledge in the United State, though it is one with many counterparts that has been used in other parts of the world for centuries.

The system uses a hands-on approach, incorporating different vocal energies which include songs, sounds, sound effects and other techniques. These elements work to balance and activate various vibrational fields which the body then transfers into different pressure points and other areas. Most often the best results are going to be when the client is completely relaxed.

As Mickey Hart will attest, the power of sound is everywhere. After all, the first thing we hear when we arrive here on earth is that of sound. The sound, our own voices crying as we awake to a new time in a new world. Universal sounds heard within the confines of space which Mr. Hart have recently recorded, will no doubt also provide some great tones for sound healing in the future.

The theory that sound has the ability has the power to heal as been around as long as many great thinkers, many like Cayce and Jung quite far back history. One could even say that Alexander Graham Bell also provided an aspect of using sound to help people connect with one another, which is and of itself, quite beneficial not only to the individual but the world at large.

While music has the power to heal, as do other harmonic practices and theories, not all are as well received as others. Also, as it is most likely to the detriment of the pharmaceutical companies to publish results of studies related to music having the ability to reverse Alzheimer's, it is something that will most likely have to be discovered outside mainstream media.

In some cases, remote healers, also known as remote viewers may be able to provide services over the phone. There are also those who blend sound healing with meditation through a variety of sound effects and visualizations which are often distributed and marketed to online social networking sites. As with most alternatives, there are always going to be skeptics. There are often positive and negative comments related to this advertising, sound and visualizations.

During and after a session, clients often report feeling a sense of euphoria, or feeling high. Generally followed by a tingling sensation. The best comparison has been in relation to how one feels after electro-magnetic or bio feedback. A number of chiropractors and other holistic health centers now also offer these and other forms of alternative healing.

While the practice has become quite popular, it is a unique type of therapy which may not be appropriate for everyone. Those who have issues with massage, or other activities in which strangers share and exchange touch may find the practice somewhat overwhelming. As such, these individuals may want to look for an alternative form of holistic practice.
