For starters, make sure that you have excellent revenue cycle management and utilization. It is an important part of the billing process. It is a new place to get to. Everything starts to work out for a specific reasons and then comes together at the end.

If you are like me, you need to have your coding done correctly by a professional that understands how to do their job correctly. A lot of billers today simply don't want to learn how to code correctly. You would think that they would. However, look around at your average biller. Most don't know ICD-10 coding and they had years to prepare for it. This means that people didn't think that the change was going to happen so quickly and drastically. It is amazing how many people in the world today say that their coding is off track. It is important that people take the time out of their busy schedule to take courses in coding.

A medical biller today should have a solid education and college degree. They should be certified in ICD-10 before they begin working for you. Make sure that they understand the importance of their job. The truth of the matter is that without a good medical biller, nothing can get paid. No reimbursement checks can come in the mail. It is a hard situation that a lot of people cannot even understand.
