Several things change as we grow older. In the physical sense, we lose more of the flexibility and energy that we have when we were still younger. Below are some of the symptoms that some women who are close to the menopausal stage and those who are already in it experiences.

Problems with regular sleep. To some this could be a mild case of sleep disruptions. Others can be diagnosed as insomnia. The change in the normal production of some hormones like the estrogen can affect the sleep of some women, making it difficult for them to find quality rest at night.

Frequent mood swings. Having some episodes of up and down moods can be a real burden to people who are living with you. For one you seem fine. The next time, you are ranting about all sorts of things. The swings can seem like a whiplash to those who are living with you.

Memory problems. This may not be memory loss per se. But this has something to do with being forgetful. The bad thing about this condition, if not addressed well is that, it can progress. To some this can evolve into the loss of memory.

Hot flashes. This is perhaps one of those most uncomfortable thing that can happen to women in menopause. Common characteristics of this conditions is the rapid heartbeat with the burning feeling from inside. Others also feel like they are out of breath and close to fainting. The frequency of its occurrence can differ from one person to another. To some, this can happen several times in a day.

There is no surefire way to avoid all of these things from happening. But for the younger ones, you can do something to boost your resilience against these. Keeping your body healthy now is a vital factor.

Do not succumb to the inconvenience without doing anything. Know yourself more. Be aware of your lifestyle and see if its contributing to the discomfort that you feel. If it is, then better do something about it now. To be safe, always consult your doctor first for anything related to treatment.
